Volex PG works without an account. We receive data about you only when you choose to send it: a data report, feedback, a question, or a resident report.

What stays on your device

• Your rank, category, PwD setting, choice list and any dates you add are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. We cannot see them.
• Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we receive

• Data reports and feedback. When you press Send in "Report wrong data" or "Improve this app", we receive the title, details and any links you give, the screen you were on, and a reply email only if you enter one. We use it to check and correct the data. Reviewed data reports are listed in the public corrections log using a title and note we write, never your text or email. We delete reply emails 30 days after the report is closed. You can still choose to email us instead.
• Resident reports. If you are a resident and add a report, we receive: the college, course, residency year, stipend credited, month, whether it is paid on time or taken back, and optionally duty hours, hostel, bond enforcement and two ratings. We never ask for your name.
• Checking you are a resident. With a resident report we also receive your medical council registration number, the council, and a photo or PDF of your college ID or joining letter. We use them only to confirm you are a doctor at that college. They are deleted as soon as the report is reviewed, and automatically after 30 days if it has not been reviewed.
• What is published. Resident figures appear only once at least five residents at a college are verified, and only as medians and counts, so no one person's pay, hours or answers can be read off. Answers to questions are shown as "verified resident · year · course", never with a name or report number. Questions and answers are checked before they appear.
• Your key and deleting your report. After a resident report you get a reference and a private key, saved in your browser. With it you can check the status or delete the report and any answers you wrote, at any time, from the college page.
• Spam protection. To limit abuse we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for up to two days to count submissions. If spam checks are switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending the form.
• Please remove names, roll numbers and bank details from anything you upload or attach.

Third parties

• Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site.
• Links to Google Maps, Gmail, WhatsApp, MCC and college websites take you to those services under their own privacy policies.
• When something breaks, a technical error report (browser type, the page and the error message, never your rank or name) is sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, so we can fix it.
• We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or fingerprint your device and does not identify you.
• Reports, questions and feedback are stored in a Cloudflare database (Cloudflare Workers and D1).
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can delete a resident report yourself from the college page. You can also ask us what we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it: write to [email protected].
