Your chance at every seat
Each row is one course at one college, with your chance of holding it after the final round. Tap a row for its closing ranks by year and round; tap + to add it to your list.
Colleges
Look up any college or hospital: every course it offers with your chance at each, its fees, stipend and bond, and where it is.
My choice list
Order options exactly as you prefer them. The app never reorders your list.
How to order your list (2-minute read)
- Put the seat you want most first, even if it is hard to get. MCC goes down the merit list and gives you the highest seat on your list that is still free when your turn comes. A dream seat at the top costs you nothing.
- Then list the rest strictly in the order you prefer them, college and course together. Never put a seat higher just because it is easier: that only blocks the seats you placed below it.
- End with several seats you are very likely to get (80% or more) that you would really join, so you do not finish the round with nothing.
- Only add seats you would join. Check the fees, stipend and bond on the college's page first; leaving a seat in later rounds can cost your security deposit.
- Enter the final list on the official MCC portal yourself and lock it before the deadline (see the Dates tab).

How this data is checked
Every number comes from official MCC PDFs and is checked several independent ways before it reaches you.
State quota counselling
What Volex PG has for each state, what is missing, and where the official lists are. To see a state's seats, choose it under Quota on the Seats page.
- MCC fills the All India Quota: 50% of PG seats in government colleges, plus central, deemed and DNB seats. That is what the Seats tab shows, with your chance at each seat.
- The rest are allotted by each state through its own counselling: the government-college seats not in All India Quota, and the state's share of private-college seats. Each state has its own merit list, domicile rule, categories, rounds and dates.
- You usually need to register separately with the state (and meet its domicile or local-candidate rule). Registering with MCC does not register you with any state.
- State results here are last year's (2025) figures, read from each state's official lists and checked twice. They show how far each round went; they are not a chance for you, because state merit lists and categories differ from MCC's.

What is not included yet
- State-quota closing ranks for most states: Volex PG has state results for 18 states (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat (2023–2025), Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir (2024–2025), Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh (2024), West Bengal; 2025 unless marked). Chances are worked out for MCC seats only. For a state's seats ranked by All India Rank, each seat shows how far it went in 2025 against your AIR: one year, so no chance.
- Colleges whose MD/MS seats only state counselling fills (268 in NMC's 2026-27 list, mostly private) are listed with NMC's seats but without fees. Their closing ranks are shown only where their state's results in Volex PG name them: 228 of the 268, in 16 states.
- In the states with results, 29 colleges in NMC's list (deemed universities aside, which MCC fills) are named in none of that state's lists, so their pages show no state figures, and each page says why: armed forces hospitals (AFMC Pune, INHS Asvini Mumbai, Command Hospital Air Force and the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bengaluru, Command Hospital Lucknow); central institutes whose seats MCC fills wholly or in part (Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health Tezpur, Bhopal Memorial Hospital, BARC Mumbai, where the state's "BARC MUMBAI" cannot be matched to one hospital with certainty); ESI-PGIMSR Parel; Karuna Medical College, Palakkad; Neelima Institute, Telangana; four Tamil Nadu private colleges missing from its Round 1 lists, the only round available; and in Uttar Pradesh, whose lists are from 2024: BHU and AMU (MCC fills all their seats), Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Varanasi, seven government colleges whose MD/MS seats began in 2025 (Pratapgarh, Ghazipur, Etah, Fatehpur, Hardoi, Siddharthnagar, Mirzapur) and three private colleges not in DGME's 2024 lists (Naraina Kanpur, Saraswati Unnao, SKS Mathura).
- Jammu and Kashmir: DNB seats (BOPEE's DNB lists were not available) and BOPEE's counselling before 2024. Its 2024 figures are NEET PG percentiles, not All India Ranks: BOPEE's 2024 lists print no AIR.
- Seats MCC listed in Round 1 that nobody was allotted under that quota have no closing rank; they are listed on their college page.
- Other exams: dental (NEET MDS), super-speciality (DM, MCh, DrNB through NEET SS) and INI-CET institutes (AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS, SCTIMST).
- MCC's 2026 Round 1 seat matrix (31,708 seats): 802 seats at 208 colleges are for a course or quota with no MCC result there in 2021 to 2025 (new courses, or colleges new to MCC). They have no closing rank or chance, so they are not on the Seats tab; each college page lists them.
- 495 of those seats, at 163 MCC institute codes (all in MCC's DNB list), are not matched to a college in Volex PG yet: Volex PG links a code only when MCC's name, address and seats agree with one college. They count in the national seat total the forecast uses, but are on no page here; check MCC's matrix for them.
- 2022 DNB Round 1 seat counts were not refreshed with the MCC institute codes linked since 9 Oct (one hospital in MCC's 2022 DNB matrix has no code, and the reader stops on it): 339 DNB seat-years of 2022 say "Round 1 seats not known" where MCC's matrix may give the number.
- Telegram reminders of each state's own counselling dates: the channel reminds you of MCC's dates and of the window MCC sets for every state's rounds; for a state's own dates it posts that state's notices as they appear.
- Whether candidates actually joined after the last round of each year. MCC does not publish that with ranks, so those seats count as held.
- For 2021 and 2022, whether candidates joined after Round 2 and the mop-up round. MCC's later files for those years do not list it, so those allotments count as held.
What changed
You are using . If a change listed here is not on your screen, close the tab and open Volex PG again.
Every data change and correction is listed here with its date.
- 17 Oct 2026 · Round 1 seat counts: 1,333 more from MCC's own matrices. Many MCC institute codes were linked to their colleges on 15 Oct for 2026; an MCC code names the same institute every year, so the seat pages of 2021 to 2025 now use them too. "Round 1 seats not known" went from 2,495 seat-years to 1,209: 796 now show MCC's count and 490 "no seat in Round 1". 47 counts in 2023 and 2024 were too high and are corrected (two hospitals of one name had been added together, such as Holy Family Mumbai and Delhi, or a PwD seat was shown as a seat of that category); MCC's Round 1 result confirms every one. 2022's DNB counts are not updated yet: one hospital in MCC's 2022 DNB matrix has no institute code, and the reader stops on it. The forecast's ranges were refitted; likely closing ranks did not change.
- 16 Oct 2026 · 66 colleges that Volex PG held twice are joined. MCC's 2021 Round 2 file printed some colleges by name and state only, and a few were renamed after 2021 (Rajah Muthiah Medical College is now Government Medical College, Cuddalore). Volex PG had kept each as two colleges: one with only 2021 results, which said "Not offered since 2021" although the college still offers its seats, and one whose seat pages started in 2022 or later. Each is now one college with all its years, joined only where MCC's own files show it is the same college (its institute code, or the same name and address). 2021 round figures were rebuilt from MCC's PDFs; 2021 Round 1 seat counts come from MCC's 2021 seat matrix (some had wrongly said "no seat in Round 1"); the 2026 forecast was refitted with the extra year (most of these seats moved by under 3%; seats elsewhere by under 0.3%). A list or link with an old college still opens the joined one. Four entries that looked the same are different hospitals and stay apart, among them Nashik's District Hospital (its 2021 DNB seats) and Omandurar's 2021 DNB seat in Chennai.
- 16 Oct 2026 · A page for every college, course and state on the web. Each college now has its own page at volexpg.com/college/..., so a search for it can find Volex PG: its courses with the 2025 final closing rank for General seats, its 2026 seats, and the fee, stipend and bond it filed with MCC. Every other category, round and year, and your chance, stay here in the app. The same check that tests this app tests every figure on those pages against MCC's files. Also fixed: in the Colleges tab's table view, the Bond column of 358 colleges with no MCC profile showed code (<span ...>) instead of "No MCC profile".
- 16 Oct 2026 · Anonymous usage counts. To see which parts of Volex PG help students and which do not, the app now counts each visit without any ID: the tabs and tools used, how far the visit got, colleges and state lists opened, searches that found nothing (letters only), your home state, phone or laptop, and where the visit came from. Never your rank, category, PwD, list or name, and no cookie. You can turn it off under "Usage counts" on this tab or on the privacy page; it is off in browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- 15 Oct 2026 · State quota: how your AIR compares. In a state that ranks by All India Rank, each state seat on the Seats tab (Quota: a state) now says how far it went in 2025 against your AIR, for example "2025 went to AIR 31,200 (Round 2): 8,200 after yours". It is a fact about one year, not a chance: one year of results cannot show how much a closing rank moves, and each state allots by its own merit list, domicile and category rules. The figure is the furthest AIR allotted in any 2025 round; it used to be the latest round's, which in 489 seat categories was earlier than an earlier round had gone, so the list said "closed before your AIR" where a 2025 round had reached it. 871 Gujarat seat categories with no 2025 allotment were compared using their 2023 or 2024 closing rank without saying so; they now say there is no 2025 figure. Pick your category from the state's own list ("Your category in ...'s list"); Volex PG keeps it for that state on this device and counts only your own seats for your home state. Tamil Nadu (NEET PG marks) and Uttar Pradesh (state merit ranks) print no AIR, and the list says so. Also fixed on phones: long chips on the state lists ran off the screen and could not be read in full (2,428 on Uttar Pradesh's list, including seat counts, and Karnataka's category names); every chip now wraps. In the tables on college pages, long course and quota names wrap so the seat numbers beside them stay on screen.
- 15 Oct 2026 · MCC published its 2026 Round 1 seat matrix. MCC's final files of 15 Oct, read and checked against MCC's own totals: All India Quota 14,113 seats, deemed universities 7,537, DNB 9,201 (every category's total matches) and central universities 857; 31,708 in all. MCC asked colleges to report any error before Round 1 choice filling ends, so it may still change. It is now in the app. Many colleges have new MCC codes this year (GSVM Kanpur, BRD Gorakhpur and ESIC Hyderabad among them), so each of MCC's 1,829 institute codes was linked to a college only when MCC's name, address and seats agree with one college: 30,411 seats are on seats Volex PG already had, and each seat page shows its 2026 count next to 2025's. 802 seats are for a course or quota with no MCC result at that college before; they are listed on the college page, without a chance. Five colleges are held twice in Volex PG, their MD/MS seats under one entry and their DNB seats under another (JNMC Bhagalpur, Dhule, Ambedkar Nagar, Baripada, Hamirpur); their All India seats are now matched to the entry with their history, so those seat pages show their 2026 count instead of "not found". Armed Forces seats are not in MCC's seat matrix at all (nor were they in 2025), and their seat pages now say exactly that. Four Tamil Nadu colleges that Volex PG listed as filled by state counselling (Srinivasan, St Peter's, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute, Karpaga Vinayaga) are in MCC's deemed counselling this year with all their seats, and their pages now say so. 495 seats at 163 hospitals in MCC's DNB list are not matched yet (Accuracy tab, "What is not included yet"). The forecast now uses the real seat count, 10.3% more than in 2025, instead of assuming growth: likely closing ranks moved 1.7% later for every seat, and the ranges barely changed (median 0.6% narrower). Also on college pages: 23 seats in 2025 at three deemed colleges first counselled after Round 1 (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology), vacant before the stray round and allotted to nobody, which were on no screen.
- 12 Oct 2026 · Fixed a wrong year: with your home state set to Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir or Uttar Pradesh, the note under it said that state's "state-quota results for 2025" are in Volex PG. They are for 2023–2025, 2024–2025 and 2024 (Uttar Pradesh has only 2024). The note, and the button to a state's results on college pages, now give each state's own years.
- 12 Oct 2026 · Free for this season. Volex PG is free for everyone until the end of 31 December 2026 (India time), the last joining date in MCC's 2026 counselling schedule, instead of until 15 October. If 2026 rounds run into 2027, a pass for the rest of the 2026 counselling costs ₹199 from 1 January 2027. The pass for 2026 and 2027 (₹799) is no longer sold; the price for the 2027 counselling will be announced before it starts.
- 10 Oct 2026 · Uttar Pradesh added (2024 counselling). DGME's institute-wise allotment lists for NEET PG 2024: Rounds 1, 2 and 3, the stray and the special stray vacancy rounds, for MD/MS/diploma at 56 colleges and DNB at 40 government hospitals (5,978 seats given). DGME prints no All India Rank. MD/MS figures are UP state merit ranks, and because DGME revised its merit list before Round 3 and again before the special stray round (the same candidate's rank typically rose by 1% to 4%), every figure names its list (1st, 2nd or 3rd); DNB figures are the rank DGME's DNB lists print. Neither is compared with your AIR. At 15 government colleges the MD/MS stray round says "not known": the file received holds DNB pages in their place. Two separate programs read all ten lists and agree on every row (13,892) and every figure (3,007). Also: a college that its state's results do not name now says why on its page (BHU and AMU, for example, whose seats MCC fills), and the lists of states now give each state's years (Gujarat 2023–2025, Jammu and Kashmir 2024–2025, Uttar Pradesh 2024); the FAQ said 16 states and left out Jammu and Kashmir: it now counts 18.
- 10 Oct 2026 · Deadlines: the last day of registration and payment in each MCC round (12 noon; payment by 3 pm) and the last day of the PwD appeal (12 Oct, 5 pm) are now dates of their own. The Telegram channel reminds you of them the day before, and again at 4 pm on the day choice locking opens.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Volex PG works again on older iPhones. Since 4 Oct 2026, on iPhones with iOS before 16.4 the app did not start: one line of its code used a feature those phones' Safari cannot read, so the browser rejected the whole app. It is fixed, and an automatic check now stops any such code before release. A browser too old to run Volex PG now says so, with what to do, instead of showing an empty page. Every screen is also now tested automatically, as four kinds of candidate on a phone and a laptop, before each release.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Fixed an error on seat pages that have no round-by-round chart (a restricted quota you have not ticked, or no results in your categories: about 1 in 6 seat pages for a General candidate). Moving the mouse or a finger over the empty chart box raised an error in the background; nothing on screen was wrong, and nothing is now.
- 9 Oct 2026 · What the codes mean, in every state. State lists print codes such as Madhya Pradesh's INST/UR/X/OP. The state list on the Seats tab and every state table on a college page now have a small "What the codes mean" box for the codes shown, each meaning taken from that state's own documents. Madhya Pradesh, from DME's lists and its admission rules: INST = institutional seat (for candidates who passed MBBS in MP; in Round 1 all went to them), In-service = the 30% in-service quota, UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS = category, X = no further reservation, PH = PwD seat, NRI = NRI quota (private colleges), OP = open to men and women. Codes a state never defines (for example Kerala's NR and HQ, Karnataka's ME and RC1) are marked "not spelled out", never guessed.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Jammu and Kashmir 2024 added, by NEET PG percentile. BOPEE's 2024 lists for MD/MS/PG diploma (Rounds 1, 2 and 3, the mop-up, stray and special stray rounds; 571 allotments at 4 colleges) print no All India Rank, only BOPEE's merit rank and, in its merit lists, each candidate's NEET PG percentile. Each 2024 figure is the lowest percentile allotted, labelled as a percentile and never compared with your AIR. A second program reproduced every figure (352 of 352). Sports and CDP seats now say that their AIR or percentile is not a cut-off (sports seats are filled on a sports merit), and ALC is shown as ALC/IB, as BOPEE's notices name it. Three messages that said Volex PG has state results for 12 or 16 states now count them (17). The home-state line for Gujarat counted 2,778 seat categories "with 2025 results", including 871 that have only 2023 or 2024 closing ranks; it now counts the 1,907 with a 2025 figure, and judges "closed at or after your AIR" on 2025 only.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Round 1 seats on every seat page, checked again. Where the page said "Round 1 seats not known", it was mostly not unknown: the seat was not in MCC's Round 1 seat matrix at all (offered only from Round 2, as at Belagavi's MD General Medicine in 2025), or MCC's matrix had the figure under a code that had not been linked. 10,468 such entries are now 2,641, each saying why; the others show MCC's count or "no seat in Round 1". 72 counts were too high and are corrected (2022 and 2024 DNB: a category's PwD seats, or another hospital of the same chain, had been added in). 2025 now uses MCC's updated DNB and deemed matrices of 19 Nov 2025, which replaced the earlier ones before Round 1: 314 counts changed. Every seat matrix was read again by a second program: all 40,930 rows identical.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Jammu and Kashmir state-quota results (17th state). J&K BOPEE's 2025 lists for MD/MS/PG diploma: Rounds 1, 2 and 3, the mop-up and both stray rounds, and ASCOMS Jammu's Hindu Minority and NRI rounds, at all 8 colleges with PG seats (857 allotments). BOPEE's Round 2 and 3 lists print only its own merit rank, so the All India Rank was taken from its merit lists by roll number and checked against every rank the lists print. BOPEE adds marks for service in a difficult area; seats given to candidates with such marks are shown apart, because their AIR did not decide the seat. A second program reproduced every figure (528 of 528). DNB seats are not included yet.
- 9 Oct 2026 · State results on more college pages: six colleges whose state figures were already in Volex PG but not shown on their college page now show them (GMC Jalgaon, GMC Nandurbar and MPGIMER Nashik in Maharashtra; Chittaranjan Seva Sadan, Kolkata; Nandi Medical College, Chikkaballapura; Government Medical College, Ramagundam). A new check compares every state's results with NMC's list of that state's colleges; the 15 colleges no state list names are listed under "What is not included yet" in the Accuracy tab. In state tables a "–" is now explained under the table.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Bond quotes: 189 of the 359 quotes on college pages were machine-read from scanned pages. They were already marked one by one; the heading no longer calls them "exact quotes", and each says letters and numbers may be misread. Bond amounts and periods in "In plain words" come only from the documents' own text, never from scans. Deadlines: all 50 dates were checked a second time against MCC's and NBEMS's own documents; all identical.
- 9 Oct 2026 · Free until 15 Oct 2026. Volex PG is free for everyone until the end of 15 October 2026 (India time); from 16 October a pass is needed (₹199 for the 2026 counselling). The home, pricing, FAQ and terms pages and the in-app banner now give the date instead of "the end of MCC Round 1".
- 9 Oct 2026 · Deadlines: the headline now follows MCC's own timeline. It had still said "MCC has not announced counselling dates yet" after the 7 Oct schedule was added below it. College pages on phones: the long "no allotment in any category" note now wraps instead of running off the screen.
- 8 Oct 2026 · Category buttons on every college page. Above the course list: General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and a PwD tick. Press one and every course shows that category's final closing rank for each year, and "round by round" opens every round of every year in place. A course with no seat of that category says so in words ("No OBC seat allotted here 2021–2025"), as does a year nobody held the seat, and a year with no allotment in any category. Your own category is selected to start with and is the only one that shows a chance.
- 8 Oct 2026 · Other categories' closing ranks on every seat page. Under the year-by-year block, "Other categories at this seat" gives the categories not open to you the same year-by-year block and table: every round's closing rank, the final closing rank, the best rank and the number allotted (for example at Belagavi's MD General Medicine: OBC final 2025 3,626, 2024 4,188, 2023 3,655; ST 2025 24,304, 2024 31,531; SC 2025 13,498). Open by default on a laptop, one tap on a phone. The whole seat can be seen, not only your own category.
- 8 Oct 2026 · Nothing is left blank without a reason. After the Belagavi report, every place the app can show nothing was gone through. The seat page now says when a year had allotments but nobody held the seat at the end, when the Round 1 seat count is not known and why, what a – in a round column means, and, for OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwD users, when no seat of their category was ever allotted at a seat and they are judged on another category. Seat rows say "No 2025 General seat" instead of "No 2025 result" when other categories were allotted. The compare table, the Colleges table and cards ("No MCC profile", "Not stated", "No reviews yet"), the cost block, DNB courses' NMC line and the map (how many colleges have no position yet) say so too. A new test fails if any year, round or figure is blank without words.
- 8 Oct 2026 · "No 2025 result" explained on the seat page. When no seat of your category was allotted at a seat last year while other categories' seats were (for example Belagavi Institute's MD General Medicine: no General seat in 2025, OBC, SC and ST seats from Round 2), the seat page now says so in the year-by-year block, the table and "What the data says", with the earlier years that had your category's seat. This is done for every year 2021-2025, and a year in which no category at all was allotted the seat is listed under the table. Before, the year was simply absent, which a user read as missing data. It was checked again against MCC's 2025 Round 2, Round 3 and stray result files: every figure matches. About 1,100-1,400 seats are like this for General in each year.
- 8 Oct 2026 · State counselling windows: MCC's AIQ and state counselling schedule (8 Oct 2026) sets the window for every state's own rounds: Round 1 21 Oct–2 Nov (joining by 10 Nov), Round 2 14–23 Nov (by 30 Nov), Round 3 4–12 Dec (by 18 Dec), stray round 22–25 Dec (by 31 Dec). In the Deadlines tab with reminders; each state publishes its own exact dates inside the window. The bulletin posted the same day is the 7 Oct draft with only its page headers removed.
- 8 Oct 2026 · College type and seat type: a College type filter (government, central university, deemed, private, DNB hospital; pick several) on the All India list, and in the state quota view a College type and a Seat type filter (NRI, Management, In-service, and everything else) with counts. Seat types come only from the state's own words; a code a state never defines stays in the last group with its code shown.
- 8 Oct 2026 · Pick several: the State, Degree and Course filters now take more than one choice (a user asked). Tap the filter, tick what you want, Done. The list shows seats from all the ticked states or courses together, the button says what is ticked, and the choice is remembered. On phones the list opens full screen with a search box.
- 7 Oct 2026 · Home state and round history: the profile now asks your home state (domicile). The Seats tab then shows a line about that state's own quota seats: how many have 2025 results and how many closed at or after your rank, one tap away; for a state whose results are not in Volex PG yet, it says so plainly. Every seat page now reads the rounds across all five years: in how many years a rank like yours was offered the seat in Round 1, by Round 2, only in a later round, or never. Real results, not a forecast.
- 7 Oct 2026 · MCC schedule 2026: MCC's tentative schedule for AIQ, deemed, central and AFMS PG counselling (published 7 Oct 2026) is in the Deadlines tab: all four rounds, from Round 1 registration on 12 Oct to the stray round's reporting ending 31 Dec, 42 dates read from MCC's own PDF; Telegram reminders the day before each registration, choice filling, locking and last reporting day. MCC also posted the PG Information Bulletin 2026 (marked draft V10): the quota rules the app shows were re-checked against it and match.
- 6 Oct 2026 · Chhattisgarh added: DME's 2025 allotment lists (combined Round 1 & 2, after the Round 3 mop-up, Round 4 stray and Round 5 extended stray), 633 allotments at 10 colleges by All India Rank, every figure reproducing DME's own opening-and-closing-rank tables and every state rank its merit lists. The cancelled first Round 1 and 2 are left out, and the app says so.
- 6 Oct 2026 · Karnataka added: KEA's seat allotment lists for 2025 (Round 1 provisional, after Round 2, after Round 3 final, stray round provisional, and the in-service lists): 9,647 allotments at 90 colleges and hospitals, government, private, management and NRI seats, by All India Rank, re-read by a second program. Category codes are KEA's own; the bulletin that defines some of them was not available, and the app says which.
- 6 Oct 2026 · Gujarat, who holds every seat: the Admission Committee's Institute Wise Admitted List of 14 March 2026, everyone holding a seat after all four rounds (2,616 seats, 34 colleges), with the round each seat was taken in: seat counts and per-round figures for 2025 next to the closing ranks. It agrees with the committee's own closure table in 1,796 of 1,870 groups; the rest are explained on the state's page (the last candidate allotted did not join).
- 6 Oct 2026 · Gujarat added, three years: the Admission Committee's own Compiled Closure tables for 2025, 2024 and 2023: the last All India Rank admitted after all rounds, per college (36), quota (government, university, in-service, management, NRI), course and category (open, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS); 4,614 closing ranks, re-read by a second program. The tables print no seat counts or round-by-round figures, and the app says so.
- 6 Oct 2026 · Puducherry added (Round 1, after Round 2, after Round 3, final after the stray round; government and management quota at IGMCRI, PIMS, SMVMCH and SVMCH; 325 final admissions). Kerala now has the stray vacancy round too, and its Phase 1 and 2 figures reproduce CEE's own last-rank tables exactly (798 of 798, 806 of 806). Madhya Pradesh now has the mop-up round (1,588 seats held), reproducing DME's own opening/closing table exactly (1,094 of 1,094).
- 6 Oct 2026 · Andhra Pradesh, complete to the end of counselling: the final position after the stray round for every seat (2,614), from Dr NTR UHS's own last-rank table, including in-service, management quota, NRI, institutional and self-financing seats, which were missing. Figures are now by the candidate's local area (AU, SVU, non-local) and the seat's category, with women's seats counted within their category, so Phase 1, After Phase 2 and Final line up row by row. Checked against the Phase 1 and 2 lists (399 of 399 seats agree) and re-read by a second program (4,124 of 4,124 figures).
- 6 Oct 2026 · Telegram alerts for every state: the channel now posts new notices from 24 state counselling bodies and NBEMS as well as MCC (Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, AP, West Bengal, Odisha and the rest), labelled by state, within about 20 minutes. Not yet: Rajasthan and Assam (see the FAQ).
- 6 Oct 2026 · Fee and bond filters on the Seats tab (under More filters): fee a year as the college declared it to MCC (up to ₹1, 5 or 15 lakh, over ₹15 lakh, or not declared), and whether a bond document was filed with MCC. Asked for by a user. Honest limits: about 700 colleges declared a usable fee; a seat with no clear declared fee never passes a fee band; and "no bond document" does not prove there is no bond, since state rules can still apply. A year-2 fee increase filter is not offered because only 4 colleges declared a higher year-2 fee.
- 5 Oct 2026 · State quota, usable at last: choosing a state under Quota now gives you course, college and category filters, categories in plain words (for example "NT(B)/NT1" instead of "NTB", "Ezhava" instead of "EZ", only where the state's own prospectus defines the code), a switch for "only seats that closed at or after my rank", and each seat says whether it closed before or after your rank. The sorts that mean nothing without a chance are switched off there.
- 5 Oct 2026 · Odisha state quota added (2025): Round 1, Round 1 upgrade, Round 2 and everyone admitted after the stray round, at all 11 colleges including Hi-Tech Bhubaneswar, Hi-Tech Rourkela and DRIEMS (with their management quota), by NEET PG All India Rank. Odisha prints only its own merit rank, so the AIR is taken from DMET's merit lists and checked against the rank each list prints; a second, separate reading reproduced all 866 figures. The reasons shown for states without results were re-checked and corrected.
- 5 Oct 2026 · Picking a state whose state-quota results are not in Volex PG now says so, and searching for dental (MDS), DM/MCh or AIIMS explains that those are separate counsellings. The Round 1 seats with no allotment now say whether MCC still listed them as vacant before the stray round (most were not, so they were probably moved to another quota or withdrawn).
- 5 Oct 2026 · Private colleges are now listed. Private colleges fill their MD/MS seats only through state counselling, never MCC, so the app showed one only if it had a DNB course, and most not at all. Every college in NMC's 2026-27 list whose MD/MS seats MCC does not fill is now a college in the app: 268 colleges, 22,143 seats (248 private, plus Gujarat's GMERS and municipal colleges and a few others). Each page shows its seats per course, reviews, and the state's 2025 closing ranks in the 11 states the app has. Find them on the Colleges tab (type Private college) or by name; picking a state on the Seats tab says how many it has. Also new: 46 seats in MCC's 2025 Round 1 seat matrix that no result list shows anyone allotted under their quota are now shown on their college pages (for example BHU's internal-quota Anatomy and Physiology seats), with whether MCC still listed them as vacant before the stray round.
- 5 Oct 2026 · Choosing a college from the search on the Seats page now opens that college (before, it only narrowed the list behind the keyboard, so it looked like nothing happened). Seats now show how many reviews their college has.
- 5 Oct 2026 · Reviews first: every college page now opens with what residents say (how many reviews, the latest one, and buttons to read all or write one), every college card shows its number of reviews, and every seat page links to the college's reviews. New reviews are also posted on the Volex PG Telegram channel about 15 minutes after they are sent (a description held for a check waits for it), and the post is deleted if the review is.
- 4 Oct 2026 · Checked again, and corrected: PwD medical assessment dates now come from MCC's own notice of 28 Sep 2026 (primary board until 5 pm on 9 Oct; appeals 5–12 Oct), and a date range shows "Open" until it ends. 121 seat categories that should have had a 2026 chance now have one. 28 colleges whose map point was 30–330 km away (for example Madurai Medical College, Surat GMC, Mylapore in Chennai) are now in the right city, and about 120 colleges that showed a state name or "Pin" as their city show the real city. NMC's approved seats are now compared for each college: 29 colleges changed, one is new and two are not in NMC's 2026-27 list yet.
- 4 Oct 2026 · Course vs course: any specialty's MD/MS, DNB and diploma seats side by side (colleges, median closing rank for your category, median fee and stipend, course length), from MCC's All India quotas only so they compare like with like. Open it from any seat page or the filters. College scorecard: a Table view on the Colleges tab, one row per college with chance, closing ranks, fee, stipend, bond and residents' recommendation. Stipend reality: where 5 or more residents have reported, the college page shows the stipend declared to MCC next to what residents say they get, with the gap.
- 3 Oct 2026 · NMC seats: the MD, MS and diploma seats NMC has approved for 2026-27 (58,466 so far) against 2025-26 (58,400), by course and by state, read from NMC's own PDFs by two separate programs. On the Checked data tab, and one line on each seat page.
- 2 Oct 2026 · Reviewing a college now takes under a minute: a few taps on toxicity, hands-on exposure, faculty, workload and stipend, plus an optional description, with no sign-up, no name and no ID. Every review appears on the college page as soon as it is sent (newest first, with course and year), and averages appear at 5 reviews. A description that names someone or has contact details is checked first. Anyone can report a review. Each college page shows how many residents have reviewed; figures appear at 5, only as medians and counts, each marked verified (college ID checked) or self-reported. Residents can share a review link with their batch. Fixed a blank page when the app was reloaded on a college's Reviews section.
- 1 Oct 2026 · Tapping × while a seat or college page is still opening now closes it, and tapping several seats quickly always ends on the last one tapped.
- 1 Oct 2026 · 44 colleges that appeared twice are now one (for example Lady Hardinge Medical College's All India and DNB seats, Stanley Medical College, Hamdard Institute): their seats and history were rebuilt from MCC's PDFs, and saved lists still open the right seat. Seat pages fit small phones (long course names wrap, and "Year by year" is one block per year on phones). Course and college names cut short by the source files are complete again. The "i" buttons are easier to tap.
- 1 Oct 2026 · Full data re-check against MCC's own PDFs, downloaded again today (all 22 result files and 23 seat-matrix files, each byte-identical to the app's sources), with two separate PDF readers: every one of the 172,621 round closing ranks, and every best rank, final closing rank and allotted-at-the-end count (70,499 each), matches. Seat counts: 7 corrected (2022: 1, 2023: 3, 2025: 3), where a same-name sister hospital's seats had been added in (Fortis Kolkata, Manipal Bengaluru, Rainbow Vijayawada, GMERS Valsad and Gotri, Bharati Vidyapeeth Sangli). "Seats filled" is now "Allotted at the end", with a note on why it can be higher than the seats. All 11 states re-checked: every figure matches.
- 1 Oct 2026 · Changing your rank, category or PwD now shows what changed: a line above the list says how many seats' chances moved, and each such seat shows ▲ or ▼ with its earlier chance. An open seat or college page updates straight away. Browsing without a rank as OBC, SC, ST, EWS or PwD lists that category's own seats first.
- 1 Oct 2026 · Search understands the names students use: radiology, pediatrics, OBG, skin, anesthesia, ENT, ortho, eye, PSM, pulmo and more. Short words such as "ENT" or "MD" no longer match inside other words. Searching AIIMS or JIPMER explains that they admit through INI-CET, not NEET PG. Fixed an error some phones reported when the screen size changed while a seat was opening.
- 1 Oct 2026 · No rank yet? Choose "Just browse" on the first screen or under the rank box. The Seats list then shows each seat's 2025 closing rank and the best rank who took it, sorted by most wanted, with no chances; the seat page shows every year and round. The year-by-year table now has a "Best rank who took it" column for everyone.
- 1 Oct 2026 · Deadlines: the PwD medical assessment dates for NEET PG 2026 (1 to 9 Oct, appeals 5 to 12 Oct), as reported by news outlets and marked to confirm on mcc.nic.in until the MCC notice is checked. Round 1 dates are not announced yet.
- 29 Sep 2026 · The rank box now looks like a box to type in. Until you type your own rank, the sample rank (30,000) is shown in lighter grey with "Sample rank. Tap here and type your own rank." Tapping it selects the sample so typing replaces it.
- 29 Sep 2026 · Filters and sort in one place (phones). The Seats page shows the search box and one "Filters and sort" button; it opens every filter (Quota, including state quota, State, Degree, Course, Branch type, Your chance) and the sort together, with a "Show N seats" button and Clear all. Picking a state that has state quota results offers "See Kerala state quota seats".
- 29 Sep 2026 · The Seats page is back to its earlier layout. State quota is now in the Quota filter (shown on phones too): choose a state, for example "Kerala state quota", and the list shows its 2025 results by college, course and category. The separate States tab is gone: what each state has and what is missing is in this Accuracy tab under "State quota counselling".
- 29 Sep 2026 · Version 1.0. Versions are now numbered (1.0, 1.1, …). The app updates itself: when you come back to it and a newer version has been published, it reloads on its own (your rank, list and filters stay), or offers a Refresh button if you are in the middle of something.
- 29 Sep 2026 · My List: Share on WhatsApp, Download as PDF and Copy list are now at the top of the list (they appear once your list has a seat).
- 29 Sep 2026 · My List: a short guide on how to order your list; a warning when a seat you are very likely to get sits above others (they would rarely be offered); Share on WhatsApp and Print / save as PDF. A 3-step "how to use" card for new users, and grey text and tags are a little larger and brighter.
- 29 Sep 2026 · Tap the small i next to a word (All India Quota, DNB, deemed, closing rank, likely range, mop-up, stray, PwD, categories, bond, state quota) for a one-line explanation. All of them are listed under "Words used in Volex PG" in the Accuracy tab.
- 29 Sep 2026 · Easier to read: every seat opens with a plain sentence (your chance, last year's closing rank against yours, and this year's likely closing rank) and an Add button; the MCC file references are folded into a Sources box. The Seats tab starts with Your best options, the most sought-after seats where your chance is 80% or more, and on phones the banner is shorter once you have entered your rank.
- 29 Sep 2026 · The app now shows its version (at the foot of every screen and here), and tells you when a newer version has been published so you can refresh.
- 29 Sep 2026 · Fees section reordered: fees, stipend, 3-year cost, bond, what you lose if you leave, and hostel come first; the website, university, nodal officer, the college's other notes and the source are in a collapsed box at the end.
- 29 Sep 2026 · College pages now have four sections at the top: Courses, Fees (fees, stipend and bond), Reviews (residents' reports and questions to residents) and State (state-quota results). On the Colleges tab, Review your college opens your college straight on its Reviews section.
- 29 Sep 2026 · College pages: the courses and your chance at each now come first, right under the college's name, as rows that fit a phone (chance, quota and seat category, and each year's closing rank), instead of a wide table at the very bottom. Fees, residents' reports, state quota and questions follow.
- 29 Sep 2026 · College cards and pages now show Closing ranks 2025 for your own category and quotas, from the college's most to its least competitive course (for example 14k – 2.23L), instead of only the single toughest seat.
- 29 Sep 2026 · New States tab: how state quota counselling works, and for each of 24 states what Volex PG has, what is missing (for example Tamil Nadu Round 1 only, Assam Rounds 1-2 unreadable scans) or why there are no results yet, with its counselling guide and official site. The "free until" banner now appears only if payments are actually set up.
- 29 Sep 2026 · State quota results are now easy to reach: a "Choose a state" button under the filters on the Seats and Colleges tabs, a "State quota" section in the Quota filter, and, when you pick one of the 11 states in the State filter, a link straight to its state-quota results. The seat list itself stays MCC All India seats only, because only those have a chance estimate.
- 29 Sep 2026 · The state filter showed "Unknown": it is one DNB Ophthalmology seat (2025) at a "District Civil Hospital" for which MCC printed an address but no state. It is now labelled "State not printed by MCC" and listed last; the state is not guessed.
- 29 Sep 2026 · Added Telangana state counselling 2025 (KNRUHS, Competent Authority Quota): seats held after Phase 2 and after the additional mop-up, 2,672 allotments at 34 colleges, with the NEET PG All India Rank as printed and each seat's own slot (non-service or in-service, category, women's seat, PwD). Ranks equal KNRUHS's merit list for every candidate on it; every figure re-derived by a second program: 2,449 of 2,449 agree.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Added Andhra Pradesh state counselling 2025 (Dr. NTR UHS, Competent Authority Quota, non-service): Phase 1 and the list of seats held after Phase 2, 2,536 allotments at 36 colleges, with the NEET PG All India Rank as printed and each seat's own slot (AU / SVU / unreserved area, category, women's seat). Every figure re-derived by a second program: 2,359 of 2,359 agree.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Added Tamil Nadu state counselling 2025, Round 1 only (government and management quota lists of 26 Nov 2025, 1,838 allotments at 48 colleges); the later rounds are no longer on the Selection Committee's site. Tamil Nadu prints no All India Rank, so each figure is the lowest NEET PG mark allotted (in-service marks include the service weightage). Every figure re-derived by a second program: 1,422 of 1,422 agree.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Added Bihar state counselling 2025 (BCECEB, PGMAC-2025): Rounds 1, 2 and 3 and the stray round, 2,240 allotments at 17 colleges, from BCECEB's own results, which print the NEET PG All India Rank. Every figure re-derived by a second program from the PDFs: 1,366 of 1,366 agree. Also fixed: on a slow connection a college's "Questions to residents" box could fail to load.
- 28 Sep 2026 · New 2026 forecast, built in the open (pipeline/forecast.py) on the corrected 2021–2025 history. It follows each seat's own history and a year-wide shift tied to the national seat count, and its ranges now include how much a whole year can move. Tested by predicting each of 2022–2025 from the years before it: 24–34% fewer errors than comparing with last year's closing rank. Until the 2026 seat matrix is out it assumes seats grow as in the last three years; likely closing ranks moved by a median of +7.5% (easier) compared with before.
- 28 Sep 2026 · One entry per college. 27 colleges that were listed twice (MCC spelled their names differently from round to round, for example Osmania Medical College, B. J. Medical College Ahmedabad, Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, GMC Kadapa and GMC Bettiah) are now one college each, with their full history; seats saved in your list move with them. Kauvery Hospital (Hosur and Salem), Rainbow Children's Hospital (Vijayawada and Chennai) and Divisional Railway Hospital (Madurai and Kalyan) had seats of both hospitals under one name; each seat is now with the hospital whose PIN code MCC printed. Every other seat is unchanged (131,275 seat-years rebuilt from the PDFs, identical).
- 28 Sep 2026 · 2021 Round 2 filled in for 204 more colleges (2,531 closing ranks), including Gandhi Medical College Secunderabad, MLN Allahabad, GGS Faridkot, KMC Manipal, JNMC Belagavi and MGM Indore: MCC shortened their names in that file. Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences now has its 2021 figures, and SAL Hospital Ahmedabad its 2022 DNB Anaesthesiology. The 2021 rank still holding each seat at the end was recomputed from all four rounds. Re-checked against the PDFs: all 172,621 closing ranks match. 311 seat groups whose shortened name fits several colleges are left out rather than guessed.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Counselling guides for 17 more states (who allots the state quota, the official site, and for Tamil Nadu the key 2025 rules quoted from the prospectus). Government colleges in states whose state-quota results are not in Volex PG yet now say so plainly and link to the guide.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Added West Bengal state counselling 2025 (seats held after Round 3 and after the stray round, from WBMCC's own results, which print the All India Rank). Every figure re-derived by a second program from the PDFs: 2,036 of 2,036 agree.
- 28 Sep 2026 · Added state quota counselling 2025 for Maharashtra, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam (Round 3 and stray) and Chandigarh: for every college, course and category, the highest NEET PG All India Rank allotted in each round, read from each state body's own lists. Every figure was worked out twice by separate programs from the official PDFs and both agree; that check also found 37 allotments the first reading had missed, now included. Shown on each college's page and under "Checked data".
- 27 Sep 2026 · Every closing rank in the app (170,056 figures from 22 MCC result PDFs, 2021 to 2025) was recomputed by a second, separate program from the PDFs themselves: all 170,056 match. The same check found figures missing for some colleges in 2021 (listed under "Checked again, independently"); those are being added.
- 27 Sep 2026 · Search suggests colleges as you type and understands short names (KEM, SMS, MAMC, PGIMER, CMC); searching AIIMS or JIPMER explains that they admit through INI-CET, not NEET PG counselling. On computers the whole map fits on screen and can be dragged after zooming in.
- 27 Sep 2026 · Fee data re-read from all 1,940 MCC college profile PDFs and checked field by field: no amount differed; notes the earlier data had cut short are now complete, placeholders such as "0000" are "not stated", and each college's "Other information" is shown. Stipends the college says are paid plus DA are marked. Bond terms in plain words (99 colleges), each linked to the exact quote. My list has a view ready for MCC choice filling. The map can be pinched and zoomed on phones.
- 27 Sep 2026 · Fees and stipend: amounts colleges typed as text (for example "56,250 per month" or "For MD/MS-37550 & For Diploma-27500") are now read when that needs no guessing, so the yearly fee shows for 797 colleges instead of 220. DNB seats use the college's NBEMS record where it has one. Placeholders such as "0000" and stipends far below the college's other years are marked unclear instead of shown as fact.
- 27 Sep 2026 · 780 seats that MCC has not offered in All India counselling in 2024 or 2025 no longer get a 2026 chance; they show "Not offered since" the last year they were. 458 seats missing from 2025 carry a warning. Result rows now show the city, so colleges with the same name (such as the Government Medical Colleges in Kerala) can be told apart. 21 misspelt college names corrected.
- 26 Sep 2026 · Added MCC counselling 2021 and 2022 (all rounds and seat matrices) and the 2023 special stray round. The same college is now joined across years by its MCC institute code. Forecasts re-tested on four past years. Added the seats-and-closing-ranks study.
- 26 Sep 2026 · Corrected the deadline list: individual scorecards and answer keys are from 1 Oct 2026 (earlier listed as released with the result).
- 26 Sep 2026 · Added fees, stipend, hostel and bond details declared by colleges to MCC, the India map and the round-by-round trajectory.
Usage counts
Volex PG counts visits anonymously, to see which screens help students and which do not: the tabs and tools used, how far a visit got (rank entered, a seat opened, a seat added to the list), colleges and state lists opened, searches that found nothing (letters only), your home state, phone or laptop, website or app, and the site you came from. Never your rank, category, PwD, list or name, and nothing that links one visit to another: no cookie, no ID, and your IP address is not kept with the counts.
